ABOUT THE ARTIST
All the prints on this site are from original paintings by Suzanne Whitmarsh
Suzanne was born in 1968 and has lived on the Isle of Wight for 27 years. She has two children. She is a self-taught artist which has enabled her to capture her unique style.
Suzanne began painting modern vibrant landmarks, hills and beaches which have proved to be extremely popular. Islanders and visitors are captured by these unusual but completely recognisable interpretations of Island scenes. She also paints big bold flowers and retro style designs. She loves to experiment with various styles, although those who know and love her paintings are quick to recognise her work.
Her previous jobs included painting furniture in funky designs, painting interiors, designing and applying stencils, painting murals and gardening. All these occupations have been a learning process and have played a big part in the way she has styled her paintings today. She attended a course in art and design to brush up on the basic skills and began painting 6 years ago. She has had huge success when exhibiting locally.
